Councillor Mazher Iqbal has been a Sheffield City Councillor for the Darnall Ward, for over 16 years, which is also where he lives.  He is currently Co-Chair for Transport, Regeneration & Climate Policy Committee.

Previously, Cllr Iqbal has held Council positions as Cabinet Member for Public Health & Equality, Cabinet Member for Infrastructure & Transport and Cabinet Member for Business & Investment.

His current portfolio covers Regeneration, Investment, Climate Change, Planning, Flood protection, Sustainable City, and City Centre and Central Area Portfolio Development.

He is active in local politics and also in his community; he loves entertaining both family and friends and enjoys travelling.  He is also an avid football fan.
